Tour of the SAP

Interested in GVSU's sustainability efforts? Come join us for a tour/overview of the Sustainable Agriculture Project (SAP) and hear about related clubs including the Student Environmental Coalition, the Beekeeper's Club, and the Farm Club!

Get ready to walk around the SAP, see the gardens + beehives, and learn from the Farm Manager & Educator. If there is time, we also hope to do a volunteer activity to help out the SAP!

The SAP is found just south of the Allendale campus on Luce Street; it is an easy car or bike ride, but also walkable from campus (see location details for the address).

Are you interested in the environment, sustainable practices, or making an impact on your community? Join the Student Environmental Coalition! SEC is a club that helps engage students to be more conscious citizens by promoting environmental awareness. In this club, we share ways to reduce your waste, volunteer to clean the community such as the Grand Haven Beach cleanup or the Mayors' Grand River clean up, and keep you up to date on environmental concerns and news! We welcome everyone, from people who know nothing about greener practices and want to learn, to people who are majoring in environmental studies! We have virtual meetings on Tuesdays from 8-9pm! Throughout the year, we have optional volunteer opportunities and field trips that help us learn more about the environmental impact humans have on our surroundings and the climate.

If you are interested in joining us or have any questions, you can follow our Instagram page @gvsu_sec or our Facebook page GVSU Student Environmental Coalition (SEC) to contact us and see more updates!
