The Seidman Investment Portfolio Organization (IPO) is the premier collegiate investment organization at Grand Valley State University with roughly $150,000 AUM. Founded in 1976, we are a fully student-run organization that focuses on long-short opportunities within the equity markets. We primarily opt for a bottoms-up approach when analyzing potential investments and seek companies with strong economic moats as well as sound fundamentals. In addition to managing our fund, we strive to provide members with a comprehensive introduction to the financial services industry through guest lectures, investment education sessions, exclusive networking opportunities, and our competitive research analyst program. Ultimately our goals are to both outperform the market and provide students with a solid foundation for their future endeavors in the financial services industry.
