Join us for our Spirit Youth Clinic on Saturday, September 19th at GVSU! Little Lakers will spend the afternoon learning from the Laker Dance Team and GVSU Cheer Team, participating in a fun-filled clinic featuring choreography, spirit techniques, and team-building activities. Participants will then showcase what they learned with a special halftime performance at the GVSU Football Family Day game in Lubbers Stadium! Participants will be grouped by age/skill level and work alongside designated members of the GVSU Spirit Program throughout the clinic.

WHO: K-8 Dancers/Cheerleaders (everyone is welcome!)

WHAT: Youth Dance & Cheer Clinic with Performance at Lubbers Stadium

WHERE: GVSU Kelly Family Sports Center

WHEN: Saturday, September 19th Clinic begins at 4:00 PM

Football Game Kickoff: 7:00 PM

COST: $65 (Includes: T-Shirt, Poms, Meal, Game Ticket for Participant & Halftime Performance Opportunity)

Please note: The clinic price reflects increased demand for tickets during the GVSU Family Day game, which often sells out.

Registration opens May 4
Registration closes September 1 at 8:00AM or once capacity is reached (limited spots available this year due to the high-demand football game)

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

" Participants must register by August 1 to receive a reserved seat ticket with their registration.

" Participants who register after August 1 will receive a standing room only ticket due to high demand for the Family Day game.

" Participants must register by September 1 to guarantee a clinic T-shirt and event entry.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:

4:00-4:30pm Registration

4:30-5:45pm Clinic

5:45-6:00pm Break (Monitored by GV Spirit)

6:00pm Walk to the field with the Laker Marching Band

6:15-7:00pm Break for Meal in the stands (A parent or Guardian must be present to monitor their participant from 6:15pm-halftime of the game)

7:00 Football Game Begins

Approximately 7:45pm - Halftime Performance on the Field

WHAT TO WEAR

Participants should plan to wear all-black athletic attire/activewear they feel comfortable in, along with athletic shoes or sneakers.

PARENT INFORMATION

" Parents/families must purchase their own game tickets separately" Parents/families will be emailed a link to purchase game tickets following registration" Families are encouraged to sit in Section 207

Participants must be monitored by a parental guardian in Lubbers Stadium from 6:15 PM until halftime and should be picked up immediately following the halftime performance.
