Each year, our chapters across the nation host our signature event, Salute to Latinas, Fuerza de la mujer Latinasa prestigious celebration dedicated to honoring the accomplishments, strength, and diverse heritage of all women of color. This event is more than a ceremony; it is a journey through our history, a tribute to our present impact and a bold vision of our dreams for the future. With pride, we recognize the trailblazers who have shaped our communities and embodied the spirit of our sisterhood. Central to this celebration is our commitment to the next generation. During the Salute to Latinas, each chapter awards the Lydia Cruz and Sandra Maria Ramos Scholarship. Established in 1995 by our founding members, this scholarship provides vital financial support to first-year college students and graduating seniors who identify as women of color. By investing in these emerging leaders who demonstrate exceptional community involvement and passion, we empower them to reach for their dreams using education as a tool.
