Poetry offers space to pause, process our experiences, and express ourselves without the pressure of finding the right words. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore the connection between creativity and well-being through four hands-on poetry stations. Activities will include blackout poetry, guided writing prompts, freewriting, and collage-making. Each station will offer participants a different way to experiment with language and creativity while encouraging mindfulness, reflection, and play.
This workshop is designed to be a supportive, inclusive space for writers and non-writers alike. No prior poetry or creative writing experience is required. Come take a break, experiment with words, and discover how poetry can be a tool for slowing down, reflecting, and connecting with ourselves and others.
Hannah Applebee earned a bachelor's degree in Writing from Grand Valley State University and has spent the past five years working with literary journals.
