“Reflect/Receive/Return is interactive, as it reveals the evolving connection between human and non-human elements within the landscape. Often cyclical, interactions with the landscape turn towards water use, animal migration, and, over time, sharing spiritual, agricultural, or social practices. Alongside history and movement within the landscape, there is also a focus on the sensory aspects within the environment at the Sustainable Agriculture Project. From the fragrant plum blossoms, fields of produce, swaying willow trees, and warm greenhouses, the site of the exhibition includes an already rich set of sensory experiences. The exhibition works to reveal those elements while turning carefully to consider human & non-human connections. The art is embedded, as we are.”
