International Dark Sky Week is a worldwide celebration of the dark and natural night.
For many, the dark night is often misunderstood, unfamiliar, and frightening. But the natural night is filled with wonder and awe and is critical to the health and well-being of our planet. Join us as we discover the night together and learn about the harmful effects of light pollution and what we can do to embrace the dark and save the night.

For this IDSW, Recreation & Wellness invites you to gather a couple friends and join us to catch a sunset, gaze some stars, and take a short night hike. If it happens to be cloudy, we'll still plan to meet and do a hike. Here are some important details:

Date: Thursday, April 4th
Time: 8pm - 10pm
Location: Back of Lot J/ Tower Trails trailhead
Bring: Headlamp w/ a red light mode and a blanket for the sunset
Provided by Outdoor Adventures: an assortment of beverages will be provided while waiting for it to get dark.

Sunset will take place at 8:11pm. Hike departs ~8:45pm.
