Niara: Mentor Mixer
Thursday, October 12, 2023
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Allendale Campus
Students
The NIARA program is designed to increase a sense of community and belonging, centering the experiences of those that identify as women of color (WOC). Our vision is to create opportunities for WOC to be seen and excel academically, socially, and culturally.
It is a social causal event to hear about the impact of mentorship, visibility, and the importance of social support for students of color. The vision is for our students to network and build contacts and possibly long-lasting connections. The event is open to GVSU women of color students, faculty/staff, and community members. Food and refreshments will be available. Never underestimate the power of a planted seed.
