Native Plants & Campus Landscaping (INT 100/201 approved)

Alumni, Community, Faculty, Staff, Students
Join us for a short walking tour and deep looking exercised focused
on native plants in campus landscaping. We will identify plants in the
landscaping, learn about the importance of native flora, and consider
their ethnobotanical connections. At one stop on the tour Art Museum
staff will lead us in a deep looking and drawing activity (materials
provided). This tour will comprise of 0.6 miles of travel on flat
paved surfaces. This multifaceted project is designed by a
collaborative creative research team comprised of Grand Valley
faculty, staff, and students. Events will begin at the pond near the
Kirkhoff Center, look for someone holding a native plant sign. These
tours are part of floara.art
