Brno, the capital of the Moravian region of the Czech Republic, is known for its beautiful folk music, delicious wine, and Leos Janacek, a composer who has been inspiring tourists from around the world to visit the city. In my presentation I will introduce Moravia and its music, and I will share some of my sabbatical research, more specifically Vladimir Werner’s Oboe Concerto. Traditional Czech food will be served.
This event is part the Global Awareness Collaborative Colloquium on the Czech Republic, sponsored by the College Of Education and Community Innovation with support from the Padnos International Center and the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
