Marimo moss plant in a clear tank

Looking for a fun decoration for your living space? Try crafting an artificial marimo!

Did you know:

Though marimo is a form of algae, these moss balls are popular low-maintenance houseplants known for their resilience and longevity. University Libraries hopes that this craft can serve as a reminder of your own resilience as you work through the semester and encourage you to turn it into a functional piece by storing notes inside to look back on as you create lifelong memories this year!
