Are you looking for valuable clinical experiences in the short term or even long term? One such opportunity is through the GVSU Scribe Academy, a community partnership that helps students/graduates and medical providers through teamwork:

GVSU Scribe Academy: free online education

Helix Scribe Solutions: part and full-time medical scribe employment

The medical scribe is a role that job shadows providers in West Michigan (a paid position) at the bedside and assists with medical charting and documentation. You'll improve provider and patient experiences while gaining insights into the medical profession and healthcare industry while being a valuable member of the healthcare team! Locations and shifts include:

< Emergency department shifts include flexible evenings and weekends ($12/hr)

< Medical offices offer shifts Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (remote scribe from home also available) ($14/hr)

< Full-time positions are also available (great for gap-year students!) ($14/hr + benefits)

Medical scribes interact with specialists, nurses, and other team members providing insight into the healthcare career right for you!
