In the Understanding the Title IX and Civil Rights process session, participants will be given an overview of the Civil Rights and Title IX processes here at GVSU. Attendees will gain an understanding of what types of reports OCRTIX receives, what happens once a report is made, and what options there are for resolution. Participants will explore the reporting, response, and resolution process through case study and guided discussion. This session is aimed to equip attendees with a more thorough understanding of what they can expect once a report is filed with OCRTIX and the different methods for resolution.
Learning Outcomes - Participants will be able to:
- Understand the types of incidents that the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX handles
- Understand what happens once a report is made
- Understand options for formal and informal resolution of a complaint
