Laker Accelerated Talent Link Student Information Session

Sophomores and Juniors in CLAS and Brooks are invited to learn more about the Laker Accelerated Talent Link, a new internship program which pairs GVSU students in a work and learn program local employer partners. RSVP at this link.

Components of the Talent Link include:

  • A substantial employer-sponsored scholarship;
  • Earning a certificate in one of four areas related to business or technology such as Project Management or Applied Data Analytics;
  • Participating in a year-long cohort experience with other LATL interns to build relationships and share your experience with others
  • Working in a 20-hour a week paid internship (paid at market rate) at a Grand Rapids-based company including Acrisure, Amway, Cascade Engineering, Corewell Health, and Michigan Software Labs;
  • The intent to hire by the employer for students who successfully complete the program.

Representatives from each partner will be available to answer questions about their company, potential internship positions, and their company culture. Representatives from the Talent Link will be available to answer questions about the program broadly. Come join us for heavy appetizers and drinks.

The program will repeat on the hour to provide flexibility in class schedule:

11:00-11:10: Introduction to the Program

11:10-11:25: Employer Partner Introductions

11:25-12:00: Meet and Greet with Employers and Talent Link staff

12:00-12:10: Introduction to the Program

12:10-12:25: Employer Partner Introductions

12:25-1:00: Meet and Greet with Employers and Talent Link staff
