If you have been interested in other cultures but don't have the time to join multiple clubs, this meeting may be what you're looking for. We will join forces with another language and culture club at GVSU (TBD), share information about each other's cultures, and possibly bring in related snacks (COVID-dependent).

Please try to RSVP. If attendance gets too big, we may need to reserve another room.

Il Geranio (the geranium) is GVSU's Italian Club that explores, enjoys and shares the Italian culture. We aim to preserve the Italian culture by educating others on the Italian heritage, as well as, emphasizing the importance of tradition and authenticity in order to pave the way for future generations. Stop by a meeting for some great food, study abroad opportunities, and all things Italian! You don't have to be Italian or know the language to join the club-if you appreciate the culture, enjoy the food, or love the language, come check us out!

Our student organization strives to educate and inform the student community of Grand Valley State University about Francophone culture from around the world. Through our cultural events as well as those of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, such as the Tournées Film Festival, Mélodies: An evening of French Song, Music and Poetry, the annual Fête de la Francophonie, baking and cooking workshops and many other fun activities, we hope to spread not only our knowledge of the importance of the cultures from around the French-speaking world, but also all the reasons why we love it so much. Our club is open to all, from those who simply wish to travel to Paris one day to others who are actual French citizens "de souche". Please take note that members DO NOT need to speak French. However, some cultural activities will inevitably be conducted in French.
