Atta Ghartey Keelson, M. Sc.

Atta Keelson is a leader among Ghanaians that seek to address major existential challenges faced by vulnerable populations. He is an accountant by profession and a humanitarian by passion. In 2013 he co-founded the NGO, International Sustainability Health Education, and Water to inoculate vulnerable communities from child trafficking and other social problems that result from the lack of critical resources: health, education, and water. Refusing to stand by and allow numerous injustices to occur, he developed a service organization that relies upon eager volunteers from around the globe that seek to learn how to serve others in dignified and culturally sensitive ways. His innovative vision of combining young people from differing cultures and backgrounds in the common task of service has created a social network of goodwill and hope for those served by ISHEW.

Through alliances with colleges and universities across the globe, Mr. Keelson has attracted an array of volunteer experts including, but not limited to, physicians, nurses and other allied health professions, water scientists, researchers, social/behavioral scientists, and teachers. He has built an open-source water testing lab and has forged service relationships with local governments. ISHEW has helped in the development of hospitals and clinics as well as microeconomic initiatives in needy communities. Since ISHEW has been established, tens of thousands of people have been impacted. Mr. Keelson has demonstrated tremendous results with locally sourced and staffed initiatives. Please take a moment to view the many projects directed by Mr. Keelson and his remarkable staff of volunteers. https://ishew.org/https://www.facebook.com/ishewgh/
