Hosted in conjunction with the Midwest World History Association's Annual Meeting, this year's Great Lakes History Conference is based on the theme "Difficult Histories." Scholars from around the world will discuss how to research, teach, and engage with some of the most challenging moments of the past. Key speakers include Dr Ana Lucia Araujo, who will be presenting on the history of the slave trade (Sep 23, 6pm), and Jodi Elowitz, who will be describing resources for teaching the Holocaust (Sep 24, 10:15am). Both of these talks will be held in Loosemore Auditorium.
