Dia De Los Muertos Celebration

Join us on 10/30 to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos alongside the Latin American studies program! We will have a presentation about the holiday and skull painting at 5pm. To follow we will be constructing an Ofrenda followed by a small celebration at 6:30. Light refreshments will be provided!

As Grand Valley's First and Only Multicultural Sorority, we are committed to providing empowerment to all women and to create cultural awareness in the Grand Valley community. Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. is the fastest growing multicultural Greek-letter organization! We were established at the University of Iowa on April 9th, 1990 and were chartered here at Grand Valley State University as the Omicron Alpha chapter on February 20, 1999. We played a crucial role at Grand Valley in creating and organizing the Multicultural Greek Council, which currently holds three organizations. Our national philanthropies are Breast Cancer Awareness and the TRIO programs, and we continuously participate in community service and give back to the community at Grand Valley and the Grand Rapids/ Western Michigan surrounding areas. We have five principles that we strive to live by: Academics, Community Service, Cultural Awareness, Morals and Ethics, and Social Interaction.
