About the program: 

San José, Costa Rica —   ¡Pura Vida! Join an adventure in the tourism capital of Central America – rainforest hikes, white-water rafting, and zip-lining. Explore national parks and natural areas on the coasts of the Pacific and Caribbean Sea. Stay in eco-lodges and experience abundant wildlife, including sloths and sea turtles. Experience culture and beauty in the growing fields of geo– and adventure tourism. 


Highlights: 

  • Engage in zip lining and white water rafting activities to gain a better understanding of Adventure Tourism    
  • Visit National Parks and Preserves to facilitate an understanding of Nature Tourism and wildlife conservation
  • Explore chocolate farms on horseback, tour the world’s only Starbucks coffee plantation, and visit sea turtle and other cultural museums, to facilitate an understanding of agrotourism and conservation
