Jeremy Llorence is a Black American playwright from Metro-Detroit. His ten-minute, one-act, and full-length plays have been seen in venues all over the Midwest including Columbus, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Milwaukee. Jeremy is an Associate Professor in the
English Department Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, where he teaches courses in playwriting, fiction, advanced narrative, composition, and others. He serves as the faculty advisor to Quiz and Quill, Otterbein’s student literary journal. He is the recipient of many awards
for his creative work and teaching, including the 2022 Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council, the New Teacher of the Year Award from Otterbein University, and a CATCO/GCAC Playwriting Fellowship. Jeremy holds a BA in Writing from Grand Valley State University (2012) and an MFA in Creative Writing and Playwriting from Western Michigan University (2015).
