In partnership with GVSU alumna and climber, Sarah Podkowa, the Climbing Center invites anyone interested in learning more about common climbing injuries to attend an informal digital event! Whether you have current ailments, want to train smarter, or just want to be more aware as a climber, this 2-part event won't disappoint.
Part 1 is an informative video presentation detailing common injuries, what they are, how to prevent them and, some recover strategies. This presentation is available for all to view on the Climbing Center's Technical Skills page.
For Part 2 Sarah has agreed to meet with us via zoom to discuss the
presentation and answer any questions you may have about the subject.

Sarah graduated from GVSU with a double major in Exercise Science and Psychology and is a current Masters of Physical Therapy student at Univ. of Illinois Chicago.
