Choral Ensemble Auditions (OPEN TO ALL GVSU STUDENTS)

All students interested in participating in a choral ensemble for the 2023-24 academic year are encouraged to take part in our audition process. These auditions are for University Arts Chorale (SATB) only. Varsity Glee Club (TB) and Anima Vocal Ensemble (SA) do not require an audition - please email Dr. Norris ([email protected]) directly to be added to either of these course.

Students can sign up for a 10-minute time slot on either day. The audition will involve a warm up to determine the student’s range, a student performance (any art song you know - if you don’t have one prepared you may sing “America” (My Country ’tis of Thee) in any key you prefer), and a brief sight reading exercise. Students should bring a copy of their musical selection (unless you’re singing “America”).
