Students
Gather your friends, student organization, or residence hall team for the Chalk-a-Thon! Each team will receive an entire square of sidewalk by the Clock Tower to decorate with chalk. You can decorate this square however you'd like!

To participate in this event, teams will need to register on Laker Link. To check into the event, students will find the Involvement Assistant at the Clock Tower who will have the chalk and assign them their square placement. You may opt to bring your own chalking materials. Teams have from the time they check in until 8 p.m. to work on their chalk art entry. Once the creation is complete, take a photo of it, upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #LakerFamily and tag @GVSUstudentlife.
Creation Guidelines:
- Chalk must be the only creation medium
- Chalking must only occur between the time the group has checked in and 8 p.m.

No offensive content will be permitted in the chalk creation
- Foul/Hurtful language
- Vulgar scenes
- Official registered student organizations may promote their organizations through their chalk creation
- No student may intentionally damage another students entry
- The OSL has the right to remove any entry via water bucket
- Anyone may vote via Instagram, as this allows for family/supporter engagement
Prizes:
Student Prize: Laker Merch
Organization Prize: 50 laptop stickers promoting your organization
Residence Hall Group Prize: A bounty of microwavable treats
