Brooks College Faculty & Staff Writing Retreat
Friday, May 8, 2026
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Allendale Campus
Faculty, Staff
Structured as writing time with opportunities for individualized feedback, these 5-day retreats are an opportunity for faculty and staff to make extraordinary progress on a long writing project -- or several shorter ones. Writing center representatives will facilitate the retreats and be available to provide feedback to participants. This May retreat is sponsored by Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies; we welcome all faculty and staff that are interested in joining us, however, priority will be first given to those in Brooks College.
We'll provide a work station, light snacks, and plenty of coffee and
tea; you bring the materials you'll need to be productive on your
writing project and your own laptop.
Patrick Johnson, Director of
the Writing Center, and/or Lindsay Ellis, Director of Writing Across
the Curriculum, will be on hand to provide feedback if you'd like a
personal consultation about your project.
This event is recurring on Monday, May 4, 2026, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Wednesday, May 6, 2026 and Thursday, May 7, 2026.
