The Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival is the oldest and largest Shakespeare Festival in Michigan. In Fall 2022, we return to full form with a mainstage production and our touring educational production, Bard to Go.

Students interested in auditioning should prepare a Shakespeare
monologue (at least 16 lines) and a contrasting contemporary

AUDITION WORKSHOP
Katherine Mayberry, frequent dramaturge and director with the
Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival and executive director of the Pigeon
Creek Shakespeare Company is offering a workshop on Monday,
April 4th from 6-9 PM that will offer guidance on choosing
audition monologues, and giving a strong, vibrant performance of
Shakespeare in an audition setting. This is an excellent opportunity
for all students, and especially for those new to Shakespeare.
