Astronauts for America, a nonpartisan organization of former NASA astronauts, is coming to GVSU! Celebrate National Voter Registration Day by hearing astronaut John Herrington, PhD, Cdr. USN (ret) speak about the importance of participatory democracy and voting. Herrington is the first enrolled citizen of a Native American tribe to fly in space and carried the Chickasaw Nation flag on the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 2002. This event will be followed by a Q & A session, and there will be the opportunity to have your photo taken with an astronaut! The festivities will continue after the speech just outside at the GVSU Clocktower!
