Exploring the Interconnectedness of Art and Ecology

Join us at the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) for an evening with Maria Gambino, the current Padnos Distinguished Artist in Residence at Grand Valley State University within the Department of Visual & Media Arts.

Gambino’s work sits at the intersection of nature and industry. Her practice is a deep dive into the "interconnectedness" of our world—examining the delicate relationships between fungi, roots, ecosystems, and the shifting environmental landscape.

During this talk, Maria will share the motivations behind her practice and offer a first look at the projects she is developing during her residency here in Michigan.

This Event is Free and Open to the Public
