The Alzheimers Awareness Club at Grand Valley State University invites you to join us for our Walk to End Alzheimers on April 18, 2026 at GVSUs downtown campus (Richard M. DeVos Center Courtyard). This event brings together students, faculty, and community members to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimers Association, the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to Alzheimers care, support, and research. Alzheimers disease affects millions of individuals and families, and many of us know someone whose life has been touched by memory loss. This walk is an opportunity to come together as a community to support those affected, honor loved ones, and contribute to the ongoing fight for better treatment and, ultimately, a cure. Participants will check in beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a short opening ceremony at 11:00 AM where we will share more about the impact of Alzheimers disease and the importance of the work being done by the Alzheimers Association. After the ceremony, we will begin the walk together. By joining the walk, you are helping raise both awareness and critical funding that supports Alzheimers research, care resources for families, and programs that assist those living with the disease. We encourage you to invite friends, roommates, classmates, and family members to join you. Together, we can take steps toward a future without Alzheimers.
