Resources available to students
If you do not have internet access at your home, many internet providers provide low-cost, high-speed internet access for qualifying customers. If you live in a Comcast/Xfinity service area, if you qualify you may receive two months of the Internet Essentials plan free. Details are available at https://internetessentials.com/. If you live in a Charter service area, call 844-488-8395 for two free months of service. Several other providers have similar programs. Please contact your internet provider for options on service.
There are also a number of free WiFi locations throughout the state, including a free WiFi site in the Eberhard Center lot on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus, and in the parking lot outside the Ravine Center building on the Allendale Campus.
While the on campus food pantry, Replenish, is currently closed, there are a wide variety of food access resources available to students. Should you need assistance accessing these (finances, transportation, etc.) please contact Sharalle Arnold, Associate Director in the Center for Women and Gender Equity and coordinator of Replenish, at email@example.com.
A list of food pantries and mobile food pantries is available via Feeding America West Michigan.
Temporary food assistance from the government may also be available if you qualify. Information is available via the State of Michigan Website.
