About

Dr. Meagan Treadway joined the GV NextEd Co-Lab in the Summer of 2022 as Director of Special Projects, transitioning after spending eleven years in the Registrar’s Office at GVSU as the Associate Registrar for Auditing and Curriculum. In that role, Dr. Treadway provided leadership, management, and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the auditing and transfer evaluation units and supported curriculum implementation. She also served as a liaison between the Registrar’s Office and the rest of the university community in work such as that with the Office of Student Life, University Curriculum Committee, and the Undergraduate Academic Advising Leadership Council. Prior to this, Dr. Treadway worked in advising, as adjunct faculty in the life sciences, and even in research and development within the food manufacturing industry.

Dr. Treadway is an educational scientist with interest in investigating how policy influences curriculum and equitable access and outcomes for students. She has special interest in the transition and continuity between K-12 and higher education and the resources available to students, particularly first-generation students, who make this leap. Toward these goals, Dr. Treadway has engaged in research related to inquiry-based curriculum development for a health sciences early college program, as well as issues of equity and access in the use of standardized test scores for the purposes of admissions and course placement decisions.
