What do you do for your job and what do you find exciting about it?
My current position is as a Quality Control Chemist at Perrigo, in Allegan, working on finished tablet products. The exciting part of working in the lab with a variety of testing is it keeps the day to day work engaging and it is all meaningful.
How did your GVSU Chemistry degree help you prepare for your current career?
The Biochemistry degree that I earned while attending GVSU helped to prepare me for all of the instrumentation and testing that I perform now. Many of the instruments and techniques that are used in my daily tasks were introduced to me during my undergraduate studies but expanded on by industry standard training.
