PSY 440 - Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder
This course addresses characteristics of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including diagnosis and special education eligibility. A specific emphasis is placed on using intervention approaches that address the unique learning and social needs of children with ASD. Various evidence-based interventions that promote inclusive opportunities and improved outcomes are covered. Offered on sufficient demand. Prerequisite: Special education major.
