NUR 406 - Psychiatric Mental Health Theory

This course focuses on psychiatric mental health nursing concepts, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders. It emphasizes therapeutic communication, evidence-based interventions, and ethical considerations. After completing this course, students will be able to provide compassionate, holistic care and collaborate with interprofessional teams in various mental health settings. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: NUR 342 and NUR 346. Corequisite: NUR 403.
