ENS 347 - Disasters and Social Inequality

Students identify how disasters across the globe expose and exacerbate social inequalities, and consider varying interpretations of disasters across global cultures. Students investigate the idea of natural versus unnatural disasters, and analyze the impact of technology, science, economy and politics on disaster risk and vulnerability through an interdisciplinary exploration. Fulfills General Education Cultures - Global Perspectives. May be offered any semester.
