EGR 655 - Power Electronics

The construction, characterization, and system realization of power switching devices. Specific topics include single-phase and three-phase rectifying circuits, DC chopper circuits, AC voltage controllers, frequency converters, and harmonic analysis. A significant course project is required. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: EGR 315 and EGR 430.
