Combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Engineering

The Padnos College of Engineering (PCE) offers a combined B.S.E. and M.S.E degree program for high achieving students, allowing students to efficiently complete both the B.S.E and M.S.E. in an accelerated manner.

The combined program allows the double counting of up to 12 credits to fulfill the requirements for the B.S.E and M.S.E programs. There are two options for allocating these credits:

  1. 2 EGR 5xx/6xx courses count for undergraduate and graduate degree requirements. The student will complete an integrated culminating experience (EGR 693 or EGR 695) that simultaneously meets the capstone requirements for both the B.S.E. and M.S.E. programs; OR
  2. 3 EGR 5xx/6xx courses count for undergraduate and graduate degree requirements. Student must successfully complete EGR 485 and EGR 486 to earn the B.S.E degree. All graduate degree requirements must be met to subsequently earn the M.S.E degree.

The study plans for the combined B.S.E./M.S.E. program are very aggressive and academically demanding. Undergraduate students who maintain a GPA of 3.3 through their junior year are encouraged to apply for the program. For more information, please contact the graduate program director.

Possible BSE/MSE combinations include:
