Badge in Applied Operations Management
Business students are facing increasing demands in the operations management areas to use operations expertise knowledge to make strategic, tactical and operational decisions. This badge is designed to expose students to the most practical knowledge and skills in operations management. This badge provides students in-depth study of a variety of topics in quality management, strategic operations management, and operations and supply chain management. This is a more technical badge which builds on the knowledge that business students have obtained from the core courses and supply chain/operations/logistics electives. This badge will provide the necessary skills for students to excel in the consulting and operations environment. This badge will be offered at the undergraduate level and NBSP.
Requirements:
- MGT 363 - Managing Quality (3 credits)
- MGT 365 - Strategic Management of Operations (3 credits)
- MGT 467 - Advanced Topics in Operations and Supply Chain Management (3 credits)*
*The prerequisite for MGT 467 is MGT 366, which is a core course that all business students have to take. Since this badge is geared towards business students, this would not be an issue.
