Applied Computing Practitioner, Undergraduate Certificate
The Applied Computing Practitioner Certificate is intended for students in a computing major. It focuses on applying skills gained in coursework to practical problems in computing fields. Students develop their problem solving, communication, teamwork, and planning skills throughout the certificate.
Requirements for the Certificate (12 credits)
Complete 6-9 credits from the following:
- CIS 100: Computing Exploration Seminar (1 credit) AND CIS 198: First Year Computing Studio (2 credits)
- CIS 290 - Professional Responsibilities and Practices (3 credits) OR CIS 291: Research Experience Preparation (3 credits)
- CIS 298: Applied Computing Studio 1 (3 credits)
Complete 3-6 credits from the following:
- CIS 398: Applied Computing Studio 2 (3 credits)
- CIS 490 - Internship (2 to 5 credits)
- No more than one of the following capstone courses (3 credits)
