STA 608 - Statistics for Healthcare Professionals 1

An application-oriented introduction to the statistical techniques commonly employed in research in the health professions. Topics include types of data, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, t-tests, nonparametric statistics, and categorical data analysis. Students will receive an introduction to the use of a major statistical computing package (SPSS). Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: Successful completion of all previously required courses in the DPT curricular sequence.
