SPM 327 - Global Perspectives in Sport
This course examines the cultural production, meaning, promotion, and consumption of sport across contrasting social, political, and economic systems. It focuses on the relative position of the sport and leisure industries at cultural intersections in the emerging "global village," including phenomena such as cultural conflict, cultural resistance, and cultural imperialism.
