NUR 779 - Psychopharmacology for Psychiatric-Mental Health NPs

Learners will apply neurobiological principles to evaluate psychotropic medications, including mechanisms of action, safety, and adverse effects, for mental health conditions across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based, person-centered care and clinical reasoning, integrating pharmacologic interventions, symptom science, and psychotherapeutic management strategies. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: NUR 603 and NUR 602.
