HPE 250 - Methods of Teaching Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD)
This course prepares pre-service health and physical education teachers to deliver Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) instruction through evidence-based, skills-focused strategies. Students examine developmental impacts of substance use, public health rationales, school laws and policies, and culturally responsive practices while planning, teaching, and evaluating ATOD lessons and prevention programs. Offered winter semester.
