HIM 362 - Disease Classification System II
This course is a continuation of HIM 361 - Disease Classification System I. Disease Classification System I. Students will gain an understanding of coding rules and their applications for specific disease classifications; they will also learn how proper code assignments impact reimbursement and Medicare Severity Diagnostic-Related Groups (MS-DRG) designations. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: HIM 361.
