GER 322 - Introduction to German Linguistics

Introduction to the linguistic concepts and analytical techniques used to study the sound system, word formation and sentence structures of modern German. Includes historical development of German, its relationship to other Germanic languages, and geographic and social variation. Offered winter semester in odd-numbered years. Prerequisites: GER 301 or GER 302 (either may be taken concurrently).
