GER 121 - From Valhalla to Hollywood: The Evolution of Germanic Myths
(Taught in English) Explore how Germanic gods, heroes, and monsters have transformed from ancient sagas to modern blockbusters. We'll trace figures such as Odin and Thor, and legendary creatures through medieval texts, Wagner's operas, contemporary films, and political movements, examining how these myths intersect with religion, nationalism, and identity today.
