EGR 643 - EMC Aspects of PCB Design

A study of printed circuit boards (PCB) design techniques for EMC compliance. Topics include power distribution network, PCB trace on impedance, PCB guard traces, insertion loss and input impedance of PCB based filters, PCB stack-up, return current path, and distribution. Ground techniques on PCBs with power converters is also addressed. Prerequisite: Admission to the M.S.E. program.
