CJ 260 - Crime Novels: Fact or Fiction?

A critical analysis of contemporary crime novels, examining how criminals, victims, and criminal justice actors are depicted in novels; examining portrayals of crime and criminal law, and examining how realistically the criminal justice system and its principle agents (police, attorneys, judges, correctional officers, and private security) are portrayed in novels. Offered fall semester.
