CIS 291 - Introduction to Computing Research

Introduction to conducting computing research. History and broader impacts of computing research. The scientific method in a computing context. Responsible conduct of research, including privacy, security, and legal issues. Preparation for experiential learning focused on computing research. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: C or better in either CIS 160 or CIS 161 or CIS 162.
