AI 589 - Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging Informatics

This course explores AI applications in medical imaging. Topics include Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), deep learning, radiomics, and image workflows. Students will analyze image data, develop AI models, and examine ethical and regulatory issues through hands-on labs and real-world case studies. Dual-listed with AI 489. Offered every semester. Prerequisites: CIS 635, CIS 678, or instructor approval.
