NUR 223 - Foundations of Nursing: Health Assessment and Clinical Skills

This course introduces foundational nursing skills, focusing on health assessment, history-taking, physical exams, and clinical reasoning. Through hands-on lab experiences and clinical practice, students develop communication skills, critical thinking, patient-centered care, and the ability to apply clinical reasoning necessary for safe and competent nursing practice. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisite: Admission to B.S.N. program. Corequisite: NUR 222.
